SCC–InSolare Consortium Clinches ₹53.05/kg Green Ammonia Deal for Dhule Fertilizer Plant

Date:

A consortium of SCC Infrastructure and InSolare Energy has emerged victorious in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) latest green ammonia auction, securing the supply of 70,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) program (Mode‑2A, Tranche‑I). The consortium quoted a competitive tariff of ₹53.05 per kilogram (~$0.6/kg), reinforcing India’s rapidly declining cost curve in green hydrogen derivatives.

The awarded supplies will go to Madhya Bharat Agro Products‑III, based in Dhule, Maharashtra. This marks the fourth auction in a rolling series aimed at procuring a total of 724,000 TPA of green ammonia across multiple tranches.

Recent tranches under the same tender have seen evolving competition—Oriana Power won the third at ₹52.25/kg, and NTPC Renewable Energy secured the second tranche at ₹51.80/kg. SECI, steered by MNRE and backed by assured offtake and payment mechanisms, emphasizes that these successive low bids are testimony to the commercial viability of green ammonia in India and its leadership in the global clean-energy transition.
