Om Infra stock jumps 12% on Rs199 cr Dibang hydropower contract

Date:

Shares of civil‑construction company Om Infra Ltd surged over 12%, reaching ₹146.50 on the BSE, after winning a ₹199‑crore turnkey contract from NHPC for the hydro‑mechanical package of the 2,880 MW Dibang power project in Arunachal Pradesh. The deal is split into two components: ₹167.86 cr for supply of equipment, including intake and draft tube gates and hoists and ₹31.98 cr for logistics, installation, testing and commissioning. The contract spans 46 months.

This win bolsters Om Infra’s expertise in hydroelectric and water‑infrastructure projects and underlines its strategy to expand in large EPC sectors, such as pumped storage and water management, according to MD & CEO Vikas Kothari. Over the past three years, the stock has delivered ~376% returns, marking it as a true multibagger.
