Noida to Roll Out Eight Electric Double‑Decker Buses in July

Date:

In an effort to strengthen public transport, Noida will soon deploy eight state‑of‑the‑art electric double‑decker buses on the busy corridor between Botanical Garden Metro Station and Greater Noida West. Four of these e‑buses will service routes to Pari Chowk, while the remaining four will extend further into Greater Noida West. Local authorities expect operations to begin by mid‑July, pending completion of charging and maintenance infrastructure. Initially running until 10 pm, bus schedules may be adjusted based on ridership patterns.

Greater Noida West has long lacked reliable public transport, with commuters relying heavily on private minibuses and auto‑rickshaws charging inconsistent fares. Officials aim to enhance commuter experience by operating buses along service lanes and avoiding congested traffic areas. The addition of these electric double‑deckers aligns with the broader plan to roll out 500 e‑buses across Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway region, reinforcing sustainable mobility goals.
