Niraj Cement Structurals Secures ₹220 Crore Contract for Kohima Bypass Road Project

Date:

Niraj Cement Structurals Ltd has secured a significant contract worth ₹220.14 crore for the construction of a two-lane road with a paved shoulder as part of the Kohima Bypass project in Nagaland. The project aims to improve regional connectivity and ease traffic movement across key national highway networks in the state.

The awarded stretch spans from design km 21.000 to design km 32.268, covering a total length of 11.268 km. Once completed, the road will enhance linkages between NH-39 (New NH-02), NH-150 (New NH-02), NH-61 (New NH-29), and NH-39 (New NH-02), creating a smoother transit corridor around Kohima. The initiative falls under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for the North Eastern States (SARDP-NE), a flagship programme aimed at improving critical infrastructure in the region.

The work will be executed under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model, ensuring streamlined delivery with fixed timelines and cost parameters. The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) is the awarding authority overseeing the project.

Construction is expected to be completed within 24 months, marking another milestone in ongoing efforts to upgrade road infrastructure and boost economic activity in the Northeastern region.
