Mysuru MP Pratap Simha Reviews Major Railway Projects, Boosts Infrastructure Push

In a focused effort to enhance connectivity and commuter convenience, Mysuru MP Pratap Simha conducted a comprehensive review of key railway infrastructure projects underway across the region. The review meeting, held with senior officials from the South Western Railway (SWR), aimed to assess the progress and address pending issues in ongoing projects including track doubling, electrification, and station modernization.

Simha emphasized the importance of timely completion of the Mysuru-Bengaluru railway doubling project and lauded the SWR team for speeding up electrification efforts. He also pushed for swift execution of pending works at Ashokapuram and Naganahalli stations, which are critical for easing traffic congestion and improving passenger amenities.

Discussions also included plans for better integration of Mysuru Junction with multimodal transport, improved passenger amenities, and proposals for new MEMU train services to cater to daily commuters. Simha assured full support from his office to overcome bottlenecks and urged officials to maintain transparency and regular public updates.

The MP’s proactive stance reflects the Centre’s broader commitment to modernizing regional railway infrastructure and aligning Mysuru with national transport growth targets.
