MMRDA Awards ₹157.47 Crore Contract for Metro Line 5 Project Station Works

Date:

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth ₹157.47 crore to the NACPL-Mansi-UCC Consortium for the Mumbai Metro Line 5 project. The contract involves architectural finishing work at six elevated stations on the Thane-Kalyan-Bhiwandi corridor.

The scope of work includes the design, supply, fabrication, and erection of pre-engineered building (PEB) structural steel components, along with entry and exit structures. It also covers internal and external architectural finishing works and interior fit-outs for six stations: Balkum, Kasheli, Kalher, Purna, Anjurphata, and Dhamankar Naka.

The LoA serves as the official notice to begin the project, and the consortium must complete the work within 13 months.

Metro Line 5 is a key part of MMRDA’s vision to enhance regional connectivity and reduce travel time across Thane, Bhiwandi, and Kalyan. Upon completion, the elevated line is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and support the growing transport needs of Mumbai’s extended suburban areas.
