Kochi: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the groundbreaking ceremony of the Adani Logistics Park at Kalamassery on August 24, 2025. The project, coming up on a 70-acre site near the HMT industrial area, involves an investment of around ₹600 crore by the Adani Group.
Top officials, including Ashwani Gupta, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ, Pankaj Bhardwaj, Business Head of Adani Agri Logistics, and Pradeep Jayaraman, CEO of Adani Vizhinjam Port, are expected to attend the ceremony.
Industries Minister P Rajeeve confirmed that all approvals for the project have been granted. “The facility can generate at least 1,000 direct jobs, along with many more indirect opportunities,” he said. Officials noted Kochi’s proximity to the Cochin Port and Vizhinjam as a key advantage, making the city a hub for logistics and allied services.
The land was originally sold by HMT to Blue Star Realtors, a subsidiary of HDIL, in 2004–05 for an IT project that failed to take off. In December 2018, the Adani Group acquired Blue Star Realtors, clearing long-standing hurdles and paving the way for the logistics park’s development.
The park is expected to significantly boost Kerala’s logistics and industrial ecosystem.
