India’s Renewable Rise with ACEN

Date:

In a proud moment for India’s clean energy drive, ACEN and UPC Renewables have begun building two impressive projects: a 420 MW solar farm in Rajasthan and a 120 MW wind farm in Karnataka. We see this as a strong vote of confidence in India’s natural resources and future.

The solar farm in sunny Barmer will produce around 767 GWh each year. The wind farm, tapping into Karnataka’s monsoon winds, will add another 391 GWh. Altogether, they will generate 1,158 GWh, enough electricity for nearly 241,000 homes and reduce over 876,000 tons of carbon emissions annually.

These projects, expected to be up and running by early 2027, will create more than 1,500 green jobs during construction. They build on earlier successes like the Masaya, Paryapt and Sitara solar farms in India. In our view, this marks a bold step toward India’s renewable energy goals, boosting clean power, jobs and a sustainable future.
