India’s real estate sector is poised to sustain strong growth in 2025, propelled by continuing investments across both completed commercial assets and new greenfield developments. Investors are showing confidence in a balanced strategy: acquiring ready office and retail properties, while still backing large-scale new projects.
In the first nine months of 2025 alone, institutional investments into India’s real estate crossed USD 4.3 billion, outpacing the recent five-year average. A striking shift is underway: domestic capital surged ~52% year-on-year, surpassing foreign inflows, which have become more cautious due to global headwinds. The office sector is leading the revival—Q3 investments jumped ~27%, underlining renewed demand for quality workplace space.
This dual momentum, between stabilized commercial asset sales and fresh project launches, is expected to anchor growth through 2025. The trend also mirrors urbanization, infrastructure expansion and favorable policy support, making real estate an indispensable backbone of India’s growth story.
