India Has Made Tremendous Strides in Infrastructure Development, Says Gadkari

Date:

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has hailed India’s remarkable progress in infrastructure development, calling it a cornerstone of the nation’s economic growth. Speaking at a recent industry event, Gadkari highlighted the government’s efforts in expanding highways, modernizing logistics, and creating world-class transport networks over the past decade.

According to the minister, India now ranks among the fastest-growing nations in terms of highway construction, with projects such as expressways, greenfield corridors, and rural connectivity schemes transforming mobility across the country. He emphasized that infrastructure expansion has not only reduced travel time but also boosted trade, tourism, and industrial investment.

Gadkari also pointed to the adoption of sustainable practices, including the use of recycled materials, electric vehicle corridors, and renewable energy integration, as part of India’s long-term vision for green infrastructure. “Our goal is to deliver infrastructure that is not only fast and efficient but also environmentally responsible,” he said.

Industry experts agree that India’s rapid pace of construction has created significant opportunities for developers, contractors, and allied sectors. With continued focus on innovation, financing, and public-private partnerships, the country is expected to consolidate its position as a global leader in infrastructure development.
