The Trump Organization, which made its debut in India’s real estate sector in 2012, has steadily expanded its presence over the past decade — turning India into one of its most active global markets outside the U.S.
Rather than direct construction investment, the Trump model in India is brand licensing: the company lends its name, collects licensing and development fees (often 3–5 % of project sales), and lets local developers handle land, funding, and construction.
Its Indian partner, Tribeca Developers (led by Kalpesh Mehta), has played a key role in this expansion. Together, Trump and Tribeca have launched luxury residential and commercial projects in cities including Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Noida.
By 2025, the brand’s footprint in India is expected to reach around 11 million sq ft, up from approximately 3 million sq ft completed by 2024. Among notable projects: Trump Residences in Gurugram, Trump Tower Mumbai (within Lodha Park), and Trump Towers Pune in Kalyani Nagar.
Financially, the Trump Organization has reportedly earned at least ₹175 crore through its Indian licensing arrangements to date.
As it continues to deepen its brand presence across India, the Trump Organization’s approach exemplifies a low-risk, high-margin branding model rather than capital-intensive property development.
