The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced that Highway Infrastructure Ltd. will officially take charge of toll fee operations on the Delhi–Vadodara Greenfield Expressway. This strategic move is aimed at ensuring smoother toll collection, improved efficiency, and better service for commuters on one of India’s most ambitious expressway projects.
The Delhi–Vadodara stretch, developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, plays a key role in connecting the National Capital Region with western India. Spread across multiple states, the expressway is designed to cut travel time significantly while boosting trade and logistics between Delhi, Jaipur, Kota, and Vadodara.
According to NHAI officials, the appointment of Highway Infrastructure Ltd. follows a transparent bidding and selection process. The company will be responsible for operating, managing, and maintaining toll plazas along the expressway, with a strong focus on digital toll payment systems such as FASTag.
The project is expected to ease congestion, enhance road safety, and provide commuters with a world-class highway experience. With toll operations streamlined, the Delhi–Vadodara Expressway is set to become a backbone of rapid connectivity between northern and western India.
