The Health & Family Welfare Department of Gujarat has announced a tender for the construction of a state-of-the-art teaching hospital and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) block for Sir T Hospital in Bhavnagar. The tender also includes the development of a new academic block for the Government Medical College, Bhavnagar, aiming to enhance healthcare and medical education infrastructure in the region.
The ambitious project is valued at an estimated ₹583.94 crore and is expected to be completed within a span of 24 months. This initiative is set to boost the quality of medical training and healthcare services, aligning with the government’s commitment to improving public health facilities across the state.
Prospective bidders have until 15 January 2025 to submit their applications. The project is anticipated to attract widespread interest from leading construction firms, given its scale and significance.
Once completed, these facilities will address the growing demand for advanced medical care and education, benefitting the people of Bhavnagar and surrounding areas. The initiative represents a significant step toward strengthening the healthcare and academic landscape in Gujarat.
