Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has unveiled the ‘Ease of Transportation’ initiative, a transformative effort to enhance the state’s road infrastructure. With an investment of ₹2,995.32 crore, the initiative aims to improve 813.75 km of roads, ensuring safer and more efficient travel.
Key projects include the four-laning of 203.41 km across 21 locations with an allocation of ₹1,646.44 crore. Additionally, ₹580.16 crore will be dedicated to widening 221.45 km of roads to 10 meters, while ₹768.72 crore will be used to upgrade 388.89 km across 25 routes to a width of seven meters. These developments are expected to ease traffic congestion, improve road safety, and provide a better travel experience.
The Roads and Buildings Department is spearheading the execution, focusing on reducing bottlenecks and enhancing connectivity. Alongside these upgrades, CM Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 184 development projects worth ₹246.31 crore in Dhandhuka Assembly constituency.
These initiatives aim to boost regional growth, particularly in the Bhal region, contributing to Gujarat’s overall development. With these enhancements, the state is set to provide smoother and safer transportation for commuters while supporting economic progress.
