DP World and AM Green Join Forces to Revolutionize Green Fuel Logistics

Date:

Global logistics leader DP World and AM Green, a subsidiary of the Greenko Group, have partnered to develop advanced logistics and storage infrastructure for green fuels. This collaboration aims to produce and export 2 million tonnes of green fuel annually, comprising 1 million tonnes each of green ammonia and methanol.

Signed in December, the memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlines the creation of port and bunkering facilities at AM Green’s Net-Zero Industrial Clusters in India and key hubs in Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia. These efforts align with AM Green’s mission to produce 5 million tonnes of renewable fuels annually within five years, powered by solar, wind, and hydropower.

A significant milestone in AM Green’s journey is the development of a 1 million-tonne green ammonia facility in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. Mahesh Kolli, Founder of Greenko Group, emphasised the collaboration’s role in strengthening global green supply chains and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.

DP World’s Deputy CEO Yuvraj Narayan highlighted the synergy between both companies, leveraging their expertise to meet rising global demand for sustainable shipping solutions. Together, they aim to revolutionize the logistics and distribution of green fuels, driving global decarbonisation efforts.

This partnership underscores the critical role of infrastructure in advancing the green energy revolution.
