Serentica Renewables, a leading renewable energy developer, has selected SANY Renewable to supply wind turbine generators (WTGs) for its upcoming 336‑megawatt (MW) wind project in Karnataka. Construction is scheduled to commence in January 2026, following the delivery of advanced SANY WTGs beginning December 2025. Each turbine features a 4‑MW rated capacity and leverages cutting‑edge aerodynamic design and robust powertrain components. SANY Renewable’s turbines are already successfully operating across multiple Indian states, and its current order book exceeds three gigawatts (GW) through collaborations with several key players in the Indian renewable energy sector.
Akshay Hiranandani, Chief Executive Officer of Serentica Renewables, stated, “Our 336 MW wind project in Karnataka will play a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions while providing a reliable, renewable energy source to industrial consumers. We are confident that this collaboration with SANY Renewables India will be instrumental in the success of the project and India’s renewable energy goals.” He added that the venture supports India’s net‑zero carbon target by 2070 and will supply clean power to local industrial corridors.
Serentica Renewables aims to commission the wind farm by mid‑2026, with performance‑monitoring systems installed to ensure optimal output and operational integrity. Additionally, the developer will implement a community engagement program to support local infrastructure improvements and stakeholder livelihoods.
The project is also expected to generate hundreds of jobs during construction and ongoing operations, boosting regional economic development. This partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to accelerating India’s transition to clean energy and strengthening domestic manufacturing of large‑scale WTGs.
