ColdStar Logistics Launches Second Distribution Hub in Visakhapatnam

Date:

ColdStar Logistics, a prominent provider of temperature-controlled supply chain solutions, has inaugurated its second distribution hub in Visakhapatnam, reinforcing its operational footprint in Andhra Pradesh.

The new facility is strategically located in Sontyam, Anandapuram mandal—complementing the company’s existing 33,000 sq ft warehouse in the same area. With a storage capacity exceeding 3,500 pallets, the hub is tailored to serve the marine, pharmaceutical, and FMCG sectors, offering efficient last-mile delivery support across India.

Sameer Varma, Executive Director of ColdStar Logistics, noted, “Being India’s largest seaport, Vizag handles tonnes of cargo each year. Over the years, this coastal city has established itself as a vital maritime and pharmaceutical hub. As the demand for real-time deliveries grows for fresh seafood and FMCG, we at ColdStar are very excited to expand our presence here.”

The facility is an integral component of ColdStar’s broader cold-chain network, designed to ensure full visibility and control across the supply chain—from sourcing and consolidation at origin, to cross-docking, reverse logistics, last-mile fulfillment, and safeguarding product integrity at every step.

This expansion underscores ColdStar’s commitment to strengthening logistics infrastructure in Visakhapatnam and supporting robust regional and national distribution demand.
