Buildroid AI Secures $2 Million to Launch Next-Gen Construction Robots

Date:

Buildroid AI, a rising player in the construction-automation space, has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate the launch of its first generation of AI-powered construction robots. The round was led by prominent tech investor Tim Draper, signalling strong global confidence in robotics-driven solutions for the infrastructure sector.

Founded in 2025 by industry experts Slava Solonitsyn and Anton Glance, Buildroid AI recently showcased its advanced block-laying robot at the Big Five Construction Conference in Dubai. The robot is designed to handle partition-wall construction — a labour-heavy, time-consuming task on job sites. The company claims the system can deliver up to 10 times higher productivity than manual labour while reducing costs by as much as four times.

Buildroid’s technology integrates Building Information Models (BIM) with AI-backed Digital Twin simulations, enabling precise planning and workflow optimisation before the robots are deployed onsite. This approach aims to reduce errors, accelerate timelines, and address persistent labour shortages, particularly across the Middle East’s rapidly expanding construction market.

Commercial deployment of Buildroid’s robotic crews is expected to begin in the second quarter of next year. The company is also exploring broader applications beyond partition walls, positioning itself to redefine modern construction practices through scalable, intelligent automation.
