Gadkari Confirms Construction on Mumbai–Pune–Bengaluru Expressway Already Underway

Date:

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has confirmed that construction is already underway on a groundbreaking Mumbai–Pune–Bengaluru expressway project. Starting at the Atal Tunnel in Mumbai, the new corridor will link up with the Pune Ring Road before extending all the way to Bengaluru, without a formal foundation stone ceremony, as work began decisively beforehand.

Once completed, travel time between Mumbai and Pune is expected to be slashed to just 90 minutes, while the journey from Pune to Bengaluru will be reduced to approximately five hours.
