The development of the Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) near Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district has officially commenced, marking a major step forward in the state’s industrial infrastructure. Spanning 112.6 hectares, the park includes a dedicated commercial zone accounting for 10% of its area.
Valued at ₹1,110.6 crore, the project is structured into operational zones catering to warehousing, cargo handling, freight transport, and specialised storage. “The possession of the proposed land has been taken and with this the development work has started,” confirmed Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director, MPIDC, Indore. “The park will become a boon to the state and give a massive fillip to industrial and logistics growth.”
Developed under a PPP (DBFOT) model, the MMLP includes 90 hectares of private land from Kheda, Akolia, Sagor, and Jamodi villages, and 22 hectares of government land. A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed by National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML), Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), and MPIDC will lead project implementation.
The facility will also offer customs EDI services and cargo scanning, strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s logistics capabilities and supporting nationwide freight efficiency.
