DroneDeploy Unveils Progress AI to Revolutionize Construction Tracking

Date:

DroneDeploy has launched Progress AI, an advanced artificial intelligence tool designed to automate construction progress tracking using drone and 360-degree camera data. This innovation aims to replace traditional, labor-intensive methods, offering real-time, accurate updates on jobsite conditions.

Progress AI leverages vision-language models trained on extensive real-world data, enabling it to analyze visual inputs and generate structured progress reports. Users can upload images from drones or 360-degree cameras, and within minutes, receive insights such as work completion percentages, trade status by date and area, and installed work across over 80 trade types. Notably, the system operates without the need for Building Information Modeling (BIM) or complex setups, making it accessible and efficient for various project sizes and types.

A standout feature of Progress AI is its natural-language interface, allowing team members to inquire about specific aspects of the project. For instance, superintendents can ask, “How much did our drywall partner complete this week?” and receive instant, data-driven responses.

Currently in early access, Progress AI is set to become widely available in October as an add-on for DroneDeploy Aerial and Ground customers. This tool promises to enhance coordination, reduce rework, and streamline construction project management.
