VIVOTEK Empowers dechant’s Site Safety with AI-Driven Surveillance Towers

Date:

VIVOTEK has partnered with dechant hoch- und ingenieurbau gmbh to enhance security at large-scale construction sites, combating theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access that can cause costly delays.

To address these challenges, dechant deployed VIVOTEK’s Smart Security SEC-WATCH Tower, a mobile surveillance solution combining high-resolution PTZ and bullet cameras with integrated AI analytics. Key components include the 5 MP Speed Dome SD9384-EHL for pan-tilt-zoom functionality and the 5 MP Bullet IB9387-EHTV-v3 for superior low-light performance. Both camera types feed video to VIVOTEK’s AI-powered analytics suite, enabling real-time intrusion detection, object tracking, and line-crossing alerts.

The system features vision object analytics to classify detected objects instantly, and an IP Audio Speaker for proactive warnings via two-way communication or pre-recorded messages. All streams and data are centralized on dechant’s backend platform, provided by VIVOTEK partner artec AG, ensuring unified management and swift incident response.

During field trials, the solution successfully detected and tracked an intruder after hours, triggering alarms and notifying security personnel within seconds. The rapid intervention prevented potential losses and further demonstrated the tower’s effectiveness in securing remote sites. This deployment illustrates how mobile AI-driven surveillance can significantly enhance site safety, reduce operational risk, and provide construction stakeholders with reliable protection.
