CASE Launches ‘Vijeta’ Initiative to Enhance Employability in India’s Construction Equipment Sector

Date:

CASE Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH Industrial, has introduced the ‘Vijeta’ initiative as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. This program aims to empower underprivileged youth by enhancing their employability skills within the heavy equipment and construction industry. Aligned with India’s Skill India Mission, ‘Vijeta’ contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) .

The ‘Vijeta’ initiative offers a comprehensive training program that combines online and offline learning modules with hands-on industry exposure. Participants undergo a three-month industry experience, primarily focusing on the sales of backhoe loaders. The training equips them with technical expertise, practical knowledge, and essential soft skills such as communication and teamwork. To support the trainees, CASE provides a monthly stipend during the training period, enabling them to focus on their development without financial constraints .

The program targets youth in various regions, including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. By bridging the skill gap in the construction equipment sector, ‘Vijeta’ aims to create a future-ready workforce that can contribute to India’s economic growth and development.

Through initiatives like ‘Vijeta,’ CASE Construction Equipment demonstrates its commitment to fostering sustainable livelihoods and reducing inequalities in the communities it serves.
