India Aims to Lead Global Construction Equipment Manufacturing by 2028: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid out an ambitious vision for India to emerge as a global leader in construction equipment manufacturing by 2028. Speaking at a recent industry event, Gadkari highlighted the vast potential of India’s industrial sector and called for innovation and collaboration to drive progress. “The construction equipment industry is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming India into a manufacturing powerhouse,” Gadkari said.

The Minister emphasized the importance of adopting cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices in the manufacturing sector. He urged industry leaders to focus on enhancing productivity and cost-effectiveness while reducing environmental impact. “We must align with global standards to strengthen India’s position on the world stage,” he added.

Gadkari also acknowledged the growing demand for construction equipment in India, fueled by massive infrastructure projects under development. He pointed to government initiatives such as the PM Gati Shakti program as key enablers of growth, driving the need for advanced machinery.

The Minister called upon manufacturers to explore exports and enhance India’s footprint in global markets. “Together, we can achieve our target of becoming the largest construction equipment manufacturing hub by 2028,” Gadkari concluded. This vision underscores India’s commitment to infrastructure and industrial excellence.
