Veteran entrepreneur Dr B.K. Modi has announced plans to enter India’s construction technology sector with a new venture focused on artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable practices and advanced manufacturing. The initiative aims to improve efficiency and modernise the country’s real estate and construction industry.
The venture will address key industry challenges, including material wastage, operational inefficiencies, rising energy consumption and environmental impact. It will focus on technology-driven solutions to make construction processes more cost-effective, productive and sustainable.
AI will play a central role across architecture, engineering, construction, operations and maintenance. The company also plans to collaborate with global technology providers, including Nemetschek, to support digital integration throughout the construction lifecycle.
As part of its initial expansion strategy, the venture plans to establish 12 factories, with the long-term objective of expanding its manufacturing network across cities as demand increases. Dr. Modi has identified achieving 10% industry adoption of its construction technology products as an initial milestone.
Drawing on nearly five decades of entrepreneurial experience and expertise in bringing international technologies to India, Dr. Modi aims to adapt global innovations to the country’s housing and infrastructure requirements.
The initiative seeks to combine AI, digitalisation, advanced manufacturing and sustainable construction methods to support a more efficient and technology-driven real estate sector in India.
