India’s residential real estate market has emerged as one of the strongest performers globally, ranking among the top ten housing markets worldwide in terms of price growth. At a time when many international markets are witnessing sluggish movement due to affordability concerns and economic uncertainty, India has stood out with a nearly double-digit annual rise in home prices, far ahead of the global average.
This performance highlights the growing maturity and resilience of India’s housing sector. Demand remains largely end-user driven, supported by stable economic growth, improved household incomes and increasing confidence among homebuyers. Unlike speculative cycles of the past, the current uptrend reflects genuine demand across major urban centres.
Sales activity has also remained robust. India’s leading cities collectively recorded strong housing absorption, with volumes in the second half of the year touching their highest levels in over a decade.
