The Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy recently met senior officials of the Government of India, urging immediate approvals for several key infrastructure projects proposed by the state. The meeting focused on expediting clearances that are critical for improving transport connectivity and accelerating development across Andhra Pradesh.
During the discussions, the minister highlighted that delays in approvals were impacting the timely execution of important transport and road infrastructure initiatives. He stressed that faster decision-making at the central level would help the state move ahead with projects aimed at strengthening mobility, logistics efficiency and regional connectivity.
The proposals presented include major road works, transport corridors and other infrastructure projects that are expected to play a vital role in supporting economic activity and improving access between urban and rural areas. According to the state government, these projects have the potential to attract investment, generate employment and contribute to long-term growth.
Central officials acknowledged the concerns raised by the minister and indicated that efforts are being made to streamline the approval process while adhering to technical and regulatory requirements. The interaction reflected a collaborative approach between the Centre and the state to address procedural bottlenecks.
As Andhra Pradesh continues to prioritise infrastructure as a key driver of development, timely clearances from the Centre are expected to provide much-needed momentum to several pending projects and support the state’s broader growth objectives.
