Ceigall Infra Projects, a subsidiary of Ceigall India, has been selected by the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation to undertake the construction of the Indore–Ujjain greenfield highway. The company has received a formal Letter of Award for the project, which will be delivered through the hybrid annuity model (HAM).
The scope of work includes building a four-lane, access-controlled roadway with paved shoulders over a stretch of 48.10 km. The alignment will link areas near Pitra Parvat in Indore to locations close to Ujjain, while also covering the Simhastha bypass segment designed to handle large volumes of pilgrimage traffic. The contract has been awarded at a value of ₹1,089 crore, with the execution timeline fixed at 24 months from the appointed date.
The new highway is expected to bring a marked improvement in road connectivity between Indore and Ujjain. By offering a modern and efficient travel corridor, it will help reduce pressure on existing roads, enhance safety standards, and support smoother movement of passengers and goods. The project is also expected to contribute to regional economic activity and strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s overall transport network for future growth.
