Salasar Techno Engineering Limited has announced a significant milestone in its growth trajectory, securing a ₹232 crore turnkey contract from the Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation (UPPTCL).
The project, awarded in November 2025, centers on the development of a 400 kV transmission line spanning 130 km between Banda and Chitrakoot. Under the terms of the agreement, Salasar will oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, including:
- Comprehensive design and engineering
- Material supply
- Erection and testing
- Final commissioning
This initiative is a critical component of Uttar Pradesh’s strategy to modernize its energy infrastructure. By integrating this high-capacity line, the state aims to improve grid stability, significantly reduce transmission losses, and meet the surging electricity demands driven by rapid industrialization and urban expansion.
Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director of Salasar Techno Engineering, emphasized that this win underscores the company’s robust execution framework. “This project is vital for ensuring uninterrupted power supply and supporting long-term economic growth,” Agarwal noted, highlighting Salasar’s commitment to national energy security.
As India continues to upgrade its power grid, this project reinforces Salasar’s position as a key player in the transmission and distribution sector, contributing to a more resilient and efficient energy future for the region.
