Armenia is moving forward with plans to upgrade its trade infrastructure after securing financial support of €39 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The funding will be used to develop a new customs and logistics hub designed to improve cargo handling, border processing, and overall trade efficiency.
The upcoming facility is expected to combine advanced customs operations with integrated logistics services, helping speed up the movement of goods across borders. By adopting modern systems and improved coordination, the project aims to cut delays, simplify procedures, and enhance transparency in trade-related activities.
This initiative forms part of Armenia’s wider strategy to strengthen transport and commercial infrastructure while aligning with global trade practices. Improved logistics capabilities are expected to lower operational costs for businesses, support exporters, and attract greater regional transit traffic through the country.
