AP Approves New Construction-Driven Logistics Corporation to Boost Statewide Connectivity

Date:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved the formation of the AP Logistics Infrastructure Corporation (AP LinC), a state-owned entity aimed at creating a unified logistics ecosystem across Andhra Pradesh. The corporation will integrate the state’s ports, airports, road networks, inland waterways, and cold-storage facilities to streamline freight movement and strengthen supply-chain efficiency.

AP LinC will be led by a Managing Director and is expected to play a central role in attracting large-scale investments, lowering logistics costs, and accelerating infrastructure construction across the state. During a review meeting at the Secretariat, Naidu said the corporation would act as a catalyst in building world-class logistics infrastructure and promoting district-level development.

Reiterating his long-term vision, Naidu emphasised positioning Andhra Pradesh as the gateway to India’s East Coast, backed by modern multimodal connectivity and expanded maritime capacity.

The Chief Minister also announced plans for a dedicated logistics university and a civil aviation university to develop skilled manpower for the growing sector. With six operational ports and four upcoming ones, Andhra Pradesh ranks second in sea-cargo movement, with neighbouring states relying heavily on its maritime facilities for future growth.
