32 New Stations, 1 Big Leap for Nagpur!

Date:

Nagpur Metro’s Phase 2 is a shining example of thoughtful growth and community impact. Stretching over 43.8 km with 32 new stations, this expansion will link key suburbs like Butibori, Kanhan, Hingna, Mount View and Transport Nagar. With financing secured from the Asian Development Bank and the European Investment Bank, the project stands on a strong foundation both financially and socially.

Significant construction milestones are already visible, the first at-grade and elevated sections are advancing, with the Lok Vihar station on track for a November 2025 opening. Work on viaducts on the Butibori stretch is moving swiftly thanks to a casting yard at Dongargaon. The project also engages NHAI in smart integration with the NH-44 realignment.

Editorially, this is a story of strategic planning, solid partnerships and visible progress. Nagpur is poised to benefit from cleaner transport, shorter commutes and inclusive access, a true win for all residents.
