TACC Limited, part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) to co-develop next-generation, sustainable concrete incorporating graphene-based additives. The official agreement, formalised on July 22, 2025, brings together TACC’s proprietary graphene materials and NCB’s deep expertise in concrete technology.
Graphene—a single-carbon-atom layer renowned for exceptional strength, conductivity, and lightweight properties—will be integrated into concrete mixes to significantly boost structural robustness, durability, and performance. A key goal of the collaboration is to reduce carbon emissions in cement production, aligning with India’s broader net-zero emission aspirations.
This partnership targets the creation of high-performance, climate-ready infrastructure solutions. By merging TACC’s advanced graphene derivatives with NCB’s cement research, the MoU seeks to reshape construction norms toward eco-friendly and long-lasting materials. Industry analysts describe the move as a landmark in India’s green construction agenda.
TACC Limited, an innovation-driven venture of HEG and LNJ Bhilwara, excels in synthetic graphite and graphene derivatives. NCB, under India’s DPIIT ministry, is the premier government-backed authority on cement and concrete technology. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in building resilient, sustainable infrastructure across India.
