Bihar: ₹7,200 Crore Investment in Connectivity and Technology
In Motihari, Bihar, PM Modi launched initiatives encompassing rail, road, rural development, fisheries, and IT sectors. Notably, he inaugurated four new Amrit Bharat Express trains, including the Patna–Delhi route, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity. Additionally, he laid the foundation for Software Technology Parks in Darbhanga and Patna, and distributed ₹400 crore to self-help groups. Over 52,000 rural beneficiaries received housing support under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. These projects are expected to stimulate economic growth and employment opportunities in the state.
West Bengal: ₹5,000 Crore Infrastructure Overhaul
In Durgapur, West Bengal, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects totaling over ₹5,000 crore, focusing on oil and gas, power, road, and rail infrastructure. Key initiatives include the ₹1,950 crore piped natural gas project in Bankura and Purulia, ₹1,457 crore pollution control systems at Durgapur Steel and Raghunathpur thermal power stations, and the ₹1,190 crore Durgapur–Kolkata section of the Urja Ganga natural gas pipeline. Additionally, ₹390 crore worth of railway projects were unveiled to enhance regional connectivity.

During his visits, PM Modi addressed public rallies, emphasizing the government’s commitment to development and criticizing the ruling Trinamool Congress for alleged governance issues. He highlighted the importance of infrastructure in achieving a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and urged the public to support policies that foster growth and employment.
