India Approves $8 Billion for New Highways Expansion

The Indian government has approved an $8 billion investment under the Bharatmala project to enhance national highways and improve connectivity between tier-2 and tier-3 cities. This development aims to boost economic growth by reducing travel times and facilitating smoother transport of goods. The expansion includes constructing over 5,000 km of roads, focusing on high-traffic areas.
