Amperfied to Oversee Siemens Energy’s EV Charging Infrastructure Across Germany

Date:

Amperfied GmbH, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, has been awarded the operational management contract for Siemens Energy’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Germany. The agreement marks a significant partnership aimed at modernising and streamlining Siemens Energy’s charging network.

Under the new arrangement, Amperfied will migrate and manage nearly 200 charging points across 12 Siemens Energy locations. The migration will consolidate different hardware systems into a unified cloud-based backend managed by Amperfied. The process will include system monitoring, data management, maintenance, and billing services for company vehicles and guest users.

The initiative is part of Siemens Energy’s broader sustainability drive to electrify its corporate fleet and enhance accessibility to clean mobility solutions. Amperfied’s backend technology will enable seamless interoperability across charging stations, improving efficiency, transparency, and real-time control of charging operations.

Jürgen Otto, CEO of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, said the partnership highlights Amperfied’s growing leadership in the commercial EV infrastructure market. “This collaboration showcases our capability to deliver complex, large-scale charging solutions with precision and speed,” Otto noted.

The migration project has already begun and is expected to be completed within weeks. Siemens Energy officials stated that the decision to work with Amperfied was driven by the company’s strong track record in managing multi-vendor charging networks and providing reliable software and service support.

As Germany accelerates its transition toward e-mobility, such collaborations between technology providers and industrial giants are seen as key to building a scalable, unified charging ecosystem.
