IFS and Anthropic Forge Construction-Focused AI Alliance

Date:

IFS Nexus Black and Anthropic have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the use of artificial intelligence across heavy-asset sectors, including construction, engineering, aerospace, defence, manufacturing, and energy. The collaboration centres on an advanced industrial AI solution called Resolve, built using Anthropic’s cutting-edge AI models to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.

Resolve processes multimodal data — including video, audio, sensor inputs, schematics, and documentation — to predict equipment failures, improve technician deployment, and minimise administrative burdens. The goal is to help organisations move from reactive problem-solving to predictive maintenance, reducing downtime and preventing high-risk failures.

IFS Nexus Black emphasised that this alliance is designed for industries where reliability and safety are mission-critical, highlighting that the real AI transformation is happening in environments powered by complex physical infrastructure, not consumer applications. Leaders noted that AI-enabled decision support can act as a vital safeguard for essential workers.

Early real-world applications are already delivering results. At William Grant & Sons, the system helped shift maintenance operations from reactive to predictive models, significantly lowering emergency repair incidents and unplanned downtime.

By combining IFS’s deep industry expertise with Anthropic’s responsible AI capabilities, the partnership aims to drive large-scale AI adoption across construction and other critical sectors that depend on resilient, high-performing assets.
