The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has invited bids for the construction of a 100 million litres per day (MLD) Main Pumping Station (MPS) and a 100 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Dhanwapur, Gurugram. The project, valued at ₹166.97 crore, also includes the installation of a Bio-CNG plant to promote renewable energy from waste.
The scope of work comprises complete civil, electrical, and mechanical construction of the MPS and STP using advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) technology, alongside the commissioning of a Bio-CNG facility. The contract includes a completion period of 24 months and provision for 10 years of operations and maintenance (O&M), following a one-year defect liability period (DLP).
The initiative is part of GMDA’s strategic plan to boost Gurugram’s sewage treatment capacity and drive sustainable urban development. By integrating waste-to-energy solutions, the project is expected to reduce environmental impact while addressing the city’s growing sewage management needs.
The last date for bid submission is August 20, 2025. Once operational, the facility will mark a major step toward improving sanitation, supporting green energy initiatives, and ensuring long-term ecological balance in the region.
