The Haryana government has given the go-ahead for a Rs 340.78 crore investment to build a 2.75 km-long, six-lane elevated road corridor at Sohna Chowk in Nuh district.

The project will come up at the junction of National Highway 919 (NH-919) and National Highway 248A (NH-248A), with the aim of easing traffic flow and strengthening connectivity across the region.

Announcing the approval, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said the elevated corridor will enable signal-free movement of traffic through Sohna. It is also expected to provide smoother access to two major expressways in the region, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (DME) and the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

The development is intended to tackle the steadily rising traffic volumes in the area while supporting its ongoing urban growth. By reducing congestion at a busy junction, the corridor is likely to cut travel time for commuters and improve the movement of goods.

Notably, this new project is distinct from the existing Sohna Elevated Corridor on NH-248A, which links Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram with Sohna. Together, the two corridors are set to significantly improve road infrastructure along this important stretch of Haryana.
